Do I have to wait all day?

Absolutely not. We’ll give you a reasonable window of time — an hour or two — during which we’ll arrive, and call when we’re on our way.

Do I need to move furniture?

We’re happy to move smaller items, such as a standard couch, chair or coffee table. But we’re not able to move heavier items such as beds, TVs and bookshelves. If they’re left in place, we’ll clean around them.

What should I do to prepare?

We only ask that areas are clear of loose items, such as toys, shoes and debris. There’s no need to vacuum — we’ll use our high-powered vac before treating and steam-cleaning your carpets.

What about our pets?

They should be kept in an enclosed part of the house that won’t be cleaned, because we need to leave a door open for the hoses that run from our truck into your home.

How long until we can walk on the carpet?

As soon as you like! But please be careful when walking from the carpet to a slippery surface, such as a hardwood floor at the base of the steps.

How long until the carpet dries?

We use special fans to dry the carpet as soon as it’s cleaned, so some areas may be dry by the time we leave your some. Depending on humidity or other factors, some areas may be damp to the touch for around 2–24 hours.

Is this safe for my family and pets?

Yes, We only use green cleaning products.

What do you mean by “green?”

Cloud 9 uses a cleaning product called Trashed Green. It is the safest, most environmentally friendly carpet cleaning product on the market and has the CRI Green Seal of Approval.

Will that stain come out?

It all depends on the type or severity of the stain and how long it’s been there. Other factors include the age and type of carpet, and if carpet protector was reapplied after your last cleaning. Either way, there’s no need to worry — our technician will diagnose and discuss any problem areas with you before we get started.
